Promising results for the first online marine energy trade fair

From August 26 to September 21, following up on our partnership at Seanergy 2023, Bluesign, via Workinblue, and Pôle emploi organized the first online recruitment fair dedicated entirely to the offshore renewable energy sector.

Offshore energy is an industrial reality, as illustrated by the 3 parks already in operation in France, and is creating jobs; investments and job numbers linked to the industry are steadily increasing, rising from 3,000 in 2019 to +7,500 in 2022*, with a prospect of 20,000 jobs in the early 2030s. Since 2017 and the creation of Workinblue – the 1st job board dedicated to offshore energy – Bluesign has been supporting companies in the sector in their recruiting efforts in particular, and thus contributing to the structuring of this industry.

"The development of the offshore renewable energy industry - and in particular the industrialization of offshore wind power - is creating a strong need for recruitment, and a crucial challenge in terms of attracting new talent. In line with our actions to support the development of the sector since the results of the first calls for tenders, we felt it was essential to step up our efforts to support players in their recruitment efforts."

So, following on from our partnership with Pôle emploi and their presence at Seanergy, we launched the first online recruitment fair for players in the offshore renewable energy sector. Companies in the industry responded, with 25 companies posting over 130 job offers, aimed at all types of profiles.

Joining the renewable energy industry is an opportunity to help create a more sustainable future and contribute to the energy transition. The massive mobilization of jobseekers, with over 21,500 online visitors and almost 800 applications in the three weeks of the event, highlights the growing awareness of the need to transform our energy habits – a real challenge for citizens as much as for geopolitics and the economy.

"The show's success reflects both the importance of recruitment among the challenges facing professionals in the offshore renewable energy sector, and the attractiveness of our businesses to job-seekers. This first edition of the event promises excellent prospects for the future, and we will continue to develop our tools and support initiatives to promote the development of offshore renewable energy."

Until the second edition of the show, Workinblue is offering a recruitment platform dedicated to the industry that allows all recruiters to share their offers.
